Happy Halloween!

First of all,on our way to work this morning, this is what we saw...

I haven't seen a sunrise this beautiful in a long time.

Today we had our annual Halloween party at work. You can dress up if you want and they also have a pumpkin carving contest. Oh, and they give prizes away for the costumes. There were alot of great pumpkins and the costumes looked amazing as well, so I snagged a few pictures...

This one was my favorite pumpkin. Larry did a great job and he even won for the cutest pumpkin. Way to go Larry!!

This one was awesome! Notice the keypad on the right? If you pushed one of the buttons the dracula guy on the top spun around and played music. This one won best of show. Great job Austin!

This castle done by Ryan won for most creative.

And now for the costumes..

Lachelle as a witch and Loni as Violet from Charlie and the chocolate factory (her son was an oompa loompa) So cute!

Vernon as Shrek. He won for best look-alike.

Shaunna was a barrel of monkeys and won for the cutest costume.

Neds costume was hilarious! He won for funniest and best of show. Go Ned!

Sara was a cute angel. But don't let her fool ya...in real life, she is definetely no angel..haha!

Whitney brought little Kiah in today. She was dressed up in a little kitty costume. Isn't she so cute?

Have a fun and safe Halloween! :)

Last weekend--Logan (long post)

Alot has been happening this past week, so i'm a little behind on my blogging..sorry. :(

Last weekend Bethie and I took a trip into Logan to spend some time with Becky since Karl is gone away for 6 weeks to boot camp for the guard. We arrived there on Thursday night and just pretty much took it easy and went to bed early.

Friday morning Carrie brought sweet Abbi over so that we could babysit her while she worked all day. What a cutie she is!! Makes me want to have a baby :) Here are some of my favorite pictures that we took of her being so stinkin' cute!!
I had a really hard time trying to find my faves, because they are all adorable

I love this one of her looking out the window!

This one she looks like a little china doll

I had to throw this one in..love the scrunched up nose.

For lunch on Friday we met Becky at Cafe Sabor. I love this place it is always so delish and when we go to Logan we always want to eat there now.
After lunch we went to Amandas to visit and let Abbi play. She decided that she didn't want to sleep at all since she was having so much fun and I think she was worried that she would miss out on something..haha. So, we left Amandas and decided to take a drive up Logan canyon to see if we could get her to sleep. She slept all the way going up, but coming down she woke up..haha..she probably didn't want to miss out on anything again. ( by the way the canyon was beautiful!! )

Holly and Abbi

Tim and Carrie offered to cook us dinner on Friday night, so we headed over to their place after our drive. They were cooking up BBQ chicken and cheesy potatoes..it was YUMMY! Thanks guys!! We had an intense game of Skip-bo going on while dinner was cooking it was fun!! Bethie won of course. LOL

On Saturday we got to babysit Abbi again since Tim and Carrie had a wedding to attend and Tim was the best man.
This is about the time when my weekend absolutely sucked!! I was getting ready for the day, after putting in my contacts I was looking in the mirror applying some make-up, when I realized my contact was no longer in my right eye. As I'm still going through a transition period of switching from soft to hard lenses..i was literally freaking out!! We searched high and low for that contact and it was nowhere to be found. I wanted to cry because i knew that I would get charged for it and I did not want to walk around one-eyed the rest of the weekend. :(
We went to Chilis for lunch and then headed over to Borders Bookstore to look at a few books. I bought Faith Hills Christmas CD....wait, did I just say Christmas?! It sure is coming up awfully fast...holy cow!! The clips that I have heard from this CD sound amazing, so I'm excited!!

Bethies sister Amanda got engaged last week, so we had the opportunity to go view her wedding dress at 4:00pm that she found at Levins. Her dress is absolutely beautiful and I am very happy for her and Quintin. Here are a few pictures of her dress..

We then headed back to Amandas and visited with Bethies family and had some carrot cake that her dad had made.
When we arrived back at Beckys a little while later, we had a round of the game BUZZ on the playstation, made a run to taco bell for some tacos, and watched some home videos of Becky, Karl and Derek. What a cute little baby Derek was..!! We also got to watch Abbi overnight :)
Look how innocent she looks here..haha! I just want to squish her cheeks!

Sunday...oh how I remember Sunday! I woke up so so so sick :( Everyone got up and got ready to go to breakfast at Village Inn and oh how I so wanted to go and have some Yummy breakfast that I always look forward to when we go to Logan. But I was so nauseated, light-headed, dizzy and just wanted to basically sleep, so I passed up the offer. When Bethie got back, she said we should start heading for home, since I was so sick and didn't want to get sicker or get really sick in the car. Let me tell you, that had to be one of the longest rides home in my entire life. The motion of the car just made me more nauseated. But we made it.
Mike and Carly....sorry we missed ya.

Sorry for not blogging sooner, but I was actually sick Sunday-Tuesday, and busy the rest of the week trying to catch up on things.

We heart Logan!!

Plateau

{{ to reach a state or level of little or no growth or decline; to stop increasing or progressing; remain at a stable level of achievment; level off. }}

The definition of plateau is where I feel like I am right now in my weight loss. I know that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing, so why am I not seeing results??

I talked to a sweet lady at weight watchers last night, and she told me not too give up and that I'm doing everything right. Since I am exercising more, my body is getting used to it and that eventually I WILL see results. YAY!! She also said that with exercise sometimes you notice that you are losing inches and not weight...Isn't that the truth? I think every week i'm buying new clothes, I mean I'm not complaining because I LOVE new clothes, but it gets expensive.

Every week I get scared to weigh in because I feel like whatever I do the weight just isn't coming off. I also tell myself that If I feel that I have gained for that week..I'm not going to weight watchers to weigh in...but I'm proud of myself, because every week I do go even if I gain. :)

I guess I needed the re-assurance from the sweet lady at weight watchers, because I feel alot better about things now.

NEVER GIVE UP!!

CRAFT PROJECT: homemade magnets!!

Its raining outside and a bit on the chilly side. What a perfect day for a craft project, right? I was excited to go to Roberts Craft and get all the supplies that I would need to get started on these easy-to-make magnets.

If your intrested in making some, they are super easy and I will do a little step by step on how to make them as well.

First of all this is the magnetic board that I bought at a craft boutique they had here in town.

Supplies you will be needing:

- flat marbles(usually located in the floral area of a craft store

- mod podge and small paintbrush or foam brush

-scissors and a glue gun

-round magnets

- photos for your magnets(photographs, scrapbooking paper, magazine pics) anything with a fun and cute design would work

Place one of the marbles over the design of your choice just to make sure that the marble covers the entire design. Using your paintbrush/foam brush apply the modpodge to the design and then place the marble over the design. Allow to dry for about 15-20 minutes

After the mod podge as had time to dry, cut around the marble making sure that you get as close to the marble as possible.

Next, using your glue gun, apply some glue to the magnet and then attach the magnet to the back of the marble. Allow to dry.

tHaTs It..yOur DoNe!!

This is my finished project. I have my favorite photos on my magnetic board along with my new/cute magnets. I think I might have to make some more for the refrigerator. :)

Meet Kiah Lynn Rasmussen!!

This new bundle of joy was born Tuesday September 30th, weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs. 1 oz. Tiny little thing, but she is soo cute!!
She is the daughter of Whitney, a co-worker of mine.
During lunchtime today, we took a couple of gifts to the hospital, and to see Kiah and Whitney. When I held her, it was just like holding a couple of blankets with no baby inside..it was crazy!!
Mom and baby are doing just fine and will be going home later this week.
Congratulations Whitney!
