CRAFT PROJECT: homemade magnets!!

Its raining outside and a bit on the chilly side. What a perfect day for a craft project, right? I was excited to go to Roberts Craft and get all the supplies that I would need to get started on these easy-to-make magnets.

If your intrested in making some, they are super easy and I will do a little step by step on how to make them as well.

First of all this is the magnetic board that I bought at a craft boutique they had here in town.

Supplies you will be needing:

- flat marbles(usually located in the floral area of a craft store

- mod podge and small paintbrush or foam brush

-scissors and a glue gun

-round magnets

- photos for your magnets(photographs, scrapbooking paper, magazine pics) anything with a fun and cute design would work

Place one of the marbles over the design of your choice just to make sure that the marble covers the entire design. Using your paintbrush/foam brush apply the modpodge to the design and then place the marble over the design. Allow to dry for about 15-20 minutes

After the mod podge as had time to dry, cut around the marble making sure that you get as close to the marble as possible.

Next, using your glue gun, apply some glue to the magnet and then attach the magnet to the back of the marble. Allow to dry.

This is my finished project. I have my favorite photos on my magnetic board along with my new/cute magnets. I think I might have to make some more for the refrigerator. :)
