Sweet and Sour Cucumbers

These little guys taste like candy to me! Now, how could anyone go wrong with making them and eating the whole entire jar?! They are a vegetable, right?

This movie just makes me want to.....

break out into song and dance...

I heart this movie! Today we went and saw Mama Mia for the second time, and it was even better this time then the first. I actually did break out into song and laughed extremely hard once again. If you haven't yet seen it..have a girls night out and go check it out!! :)

It was a very crazy and busy day today. I was really wanting to sleep in a little this morning, because I have been so tired this week. I was sleeping so soundly when all of a sudden, I was awoken by the sound of some extremely loud thunder and then immediately followed by a downpouring of rain/hail. I love the sound of thunder and the smell of rain anytime, but not while i'm trying to sleep...hello!

Our apartment right now is in complete shambles...in other words, it looks like a tornado hit every single room HA! The reasoning behind the tornado... carpet cleaning! After a quick breakfast,consisting of hot pancakes(compliments of Bethie), we started cleaning the carpet. We had to do it twice, but it looks and feels so much better. YAY for clean carpets! :)

I got my hair cut today. :) Nothing too spectacular, I took an inch off the length and did alot of layers. I wanted to do something a little different, but I don't have alot of time in the morning before work to have a really high maintenance haircut, so this will have to do for now. Thanks Nikole!

We were attempting to vacuum our carpet last weekend because this weekend we are borrowing my moms carpet cleaner to clean them. We turned on the vacuum and it just smelled like it was so hot and burning up. When we started to vacuum it would not pick up for the life of me and it was leaving burn marks on the carpet...aaahhhh!! We knew that this was the end of our precious vacuum. :(
Thanks to sears(or should I say sears credit card HA) we were able to purchase a brand spankin' new one. YAY!! Brought it home, Bethie put it together and then I got the first go at it. When I went to turn it on, it sounded like a car engine starting, no joke...and it just purrrrrrred! The suction on this thing is amazing! The carpet looks so much better already. I'm so excited and I can't wait to clean the carpets now. :) the vacuum model above is not the kind that we bought..its bagless and tons better!

Remembering...

Today is the 7th Anniversary of 9/11. I cannot believe it has been that long since that tragic day and the day that peoples lives were changed forever. In my eyes the real heros are the troops that are fighting for our freedom in Iraq. May God bless them and keep them safe!! Please take a moment today out of your busy schedule and have a moment of silence for the fallen soldiers and their families. God Bless America!

Wedding

Tim and Carrie got married on Friday September 5th. I was unable to make it to the wedding, but I got there in time for the reception which was held at Vons Park in Logan, Utah. The reception was really nice, but it was freezing!! I'm with Carly on this one..I think summer is over :(

I cannot get over how stinkin' cute little Abbi is. Those eyes and that smile is enough to melt anyones heart.

Out with the old-In with the new

So I went to the eye doctor today and received my new and much needed contacts. As some of you may know, I have worn soft contact lenses pretty much my whole life. My vision has been getting a little worse over the years, not sure why..maybe its because i'm getting old! HA I've been seeing the eye doctor for several weeks now and since my vision is changing..the doc asked me if I would be willing to try hard contact lenses. He said they are more healthy for your eyes and with my vision and the problems that I am having, he said it would be for the best. So, I decided to go ahead and order hard lenses.
Going to my appointment today I was feeling a little nervous, anxious and a little excited. I wasn't worried about putting them in...but taking them out had me a little apathetic. Thanks to the kind nurse that sat with me, watching closely as I proceeded to pop the little guys in and out. :) It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, its just going to take time and patience.
I look forward to seeing things a little more clearly now...

Blogging Blues...

I really don't know if I'm having "blogging blues" lately or If I honestly don't have anything to talk about. Not alot has been going on, so not a real big reason to blog about anything. Perhaps it is the change in the weather/season. Fall is my absolute favorite seaons! Here are a few reasons I love fall.

- I love when the leaves on the trees start changing colors. There is just something about it...the cool,crisp fresh air. I love driving up the canyon to look at all the colors, especially up AF canyon around the Alpine Loop.

- I love the smell of cinnamon spice or apple spice candles. Just the smell of them, you know that Fall has arrived. :)









- I love Halloween! It is the best holiday ever! I love carving pumpkins, decorating the house, costumes, trick-or-treaters and who could forget pumpkin cookies.. YUM-O!


Those are just a few of my fall faves. I love to get all bundled up in a comfy sweater and a soft blanket and read a good book too. I love Fall!!
