Wednesday night we went to the Jordin Sparks concert at the Scera Shell. Even though I only know a couple of her songs, she did an amazing job and put on a great concert! She has a very bubbly personality and talked alot to the crowd, which I think is important. Some lucky girl got picked to go up on stage and sing the song "Tatoo" with her..Wow!! How lucky is she?

We have been going to the Shell for many years now, and we have not seen this many people there since we have been going. It is a very grassy area and it is shaped like a "bowl". It was completely full from one end to the other. I'm glad alot of people came to see her. :)
Bethie and I just waiting for the concert to start. We had a BLAST!!
Haha...ok so this makes me laugh! Last night before I went to weight watchers I weighed myself at home before I left to go weigh in. I knew that I lost about 2 pounds. Well at weight watchers I stepped on the scale and I lost a whopping 2.6 pounds...Yay! Go me!! This is the good part lol. I am now .4 pounds away from hitting my 10%. 10% of my body weight is what I mean. Holy Cow .4 pounds, are you kidding me!! So the leader that weighed me said, "You can take off your shirt and see if you can hit your 10%." I did have a shirt under what I was wearing so I would of been fine. But I stuttered a little, looked behind me where a line of people were standing to weigh in themselves. I decided to pass on the offer. What? Are you kidding me! I think I am crazy and should of did it anyhow, but honestly I felt very uncomfortable. It totally made me laugh and made me feel really good that the leader was trying everything in her power to get me to hit my 10%. Maybe next week......
We had a BBQ at my parents house for Fathers Day. We enjoyed some yummy food which consisted of shish-ka-bobs, chicken, baked potatoes and cake(thanks brit). We even had a lesson on how to do karate..but I will get to that later.
I think my dad is a pretty awesome guy and I wouldn't want any other. He has been through ALOT these past couple of years, including 3 heart surgeries, back surgery, and emergency brain surgery. The brain surgery has left him a little slower and not so active, although he does so much and he tries his very best at everything to make everyone happy. His mind just works a little slower and sometimes we need to help him instead of him always helping us. He loves to camp, fish, work non-stop in the yard and an amazing artist. He is someone that I can go to for anything and I really look up to him. Thanks dad for all that you
do..I LOVE you with all of my heart.
My dad has taught shotokan karate for many years. He quit teaching because he had to take care of my grandparents. To this day we still reminice about karate and that it would be great to start it back up. So on Fathers day my brother decided to get the kicking bag out and set it up outside. All of my nephews thought it would be cool to kick it. But my brother had other ideas and decided to teach them the RIGHT way. It was funny watching them learn, but it brought back alot of memories of my days in karate. I hope that karate will stay in the family somehow, whether it be by my brother or my nephews. I also think that my dad enjoyed watching Kim teach the boys because he has been wanting to do that for so long and hasn't been able to. I look forward to seeing my nephews learn karate a little more each day.
This past Saturday(June 14th) Bethie and I went to our first play at the Scera Shell..Yay! We live for this time of year and going to the Scera is a blast. They have so many good plays and concerts there and alot of very talented people
The play turned out to be really good, even though I didn't know much about the storyline. I'm looking forward to our next play at Scera which is going to be "Footloose"...Yay!
Last weekend I awoke to a small red bump on my arm, I didn't think anything of it,I just thought it was a small bite of an insect that was possibly in my bed(remember I HATE spiders). The following day I ripped all of the blankets off of my bed and threw them in the washing machine thinking that there was something crawling around in them.Well throughout the day, I started itching more and noticing more and more red bumps protruding all over my body. By this time I am now convinced that it was not any sort of insect(i think). It is now a week later and I still have the red bumps all over my body and the itchiness, well.......it hasn't subsided at all!! I am beside myself with all this itching going on every day. Everyone that I talk to has no idea what it is. Hives maybe..shingles...allergic reaction to something
I think if its not better by next week, I will be making a trip to my local Dr.'s office. :( I don't know what to do.....Please itchiness go away!
